Creating Awareness

Creating Awareness

Awareness brings thoughts and feelings from your subconscious to your conscious mind.

Being aware is being conscious. But what is awareness in regards to coaching? It is understanding who you are and your connection to the world. It is the key to more meaningful relationships. It is the main ingredient of Emotional Intelligence*.

In coaching, creating awareness has a snowball effect. Awareness brings insights and insights bring clarity. Insights and clarity create a shift.

This shift allows the client to create action steps and the ability to know what they want to do and how to move forward towards their goals.

So, instead of offering solutions and thinking of how your client can resolve their issue, it’s more effective to focus on creating awareness. Creating awareness also contributes to creating autonomy in your clients since it opens up space for them to get their own answers.
